App Concept/Design
This is a concept for application which allows users to have more control than ever when creating short-form content, from Stories to Shorts. What makes this application special is the extra options given to users, such as a more detailed timeline and a layer system. Mixing the best of applications like Instagram and Premiere Pro.
Login & Dark mode
The target audience is for both professionals and general public who is already using applications like TikTok, Youtube Mobile, and Instagram for creating their content. Bright pastel colors were used in a gradient to give the application a familiar feeling, as editing software is often scary to get into due to their complexity.
Users can log in to ReStories in order to save their projects into the cloud for easy storage.
The app has both Dark and Light-mode. For Dark-mode, the colorful nature of the default light-mode was retained in order to keep an inviting feeling. No matter if you are a light-mode or dark-mode user, you will have a welcoming experience with ReStories.
Editing and Sharing
The main screen is the Gallery, which lets users create, edit, and share their short-form videos. The editing screen is based on Instagram and TikTok's editor, but with a timeline on the bottom for better control over video elements.
